Kantor Center News and Events

  • Prof. Dina Porat, representing TAU and Yad Vashem, participated in the UNESCO International Holocaust Memorial Day (January 27) events at the organization's headquarters in Paris.
  • Prof. Dina Porat and Dr. Roni Stauber met with members of a delegation from the University of Southern California during their visit to TAU.
  • Prof. Dina Porat and Sarah Rembiszewski met with Israel's new ambassador to Germany, Yaacov Hadas, in order to brief him on recent trends in antisemitism and German  attitudes toward the Holocaust.
  • Ambassador David Peleg, head of WJRO (World Jewish Restitution Organization) and Amit Bayaz, of the Israel Foreign Office, came to the Center to discuss legal aspects of property restitution.
  • Other visitors to the Center in February included ADL representatives Susan Heller, Phyllis Algrabi and Carole Nuriel, and Jeremy Jones, who was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia for his struggle against antisemitism and discrimination.
  • Dr. Roni Stauber, head of the Center's pages on Antisemitism and Racism, was nominated academic adviser of TAU Wiener Library.
