Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry

Dr. Moshe Kantor

The Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry and the Moshe Kantor Database for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and Racism were initiated by Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress, and inaugurated in 2010 at Tel Aviv University, thanks to his vision and generosity. The  Center's team, headed by Prof. Dina Porat since its inception, provides an academic framework for research and awareness-raising in three main areas: The monitoring and analysis of antisemitism worldwide; domestic and international legislation for equality; and the evolving developments in  contemporary Jewish European demography and culture – all fields in which Dr. Kantor has been investing remarkable efforts, and has achieved notable accomplishments,  on the national and multinational levels. Adv. Arie Zuckerman, chairperson of the Center's Executive Board, has also been a source of expertise and good advice.
